Legend of Golden Finger was made for Global Game Jam 2015. This game is a satire of today’s “epic game titles”. It’s also a tribute to The Stanley Parable.
This game focused on the topic: What will game developers do when gameplay becomes more and more “simple” nowadays like mobile games? I tried to answer the question in this game.
At the end of the game, the player character automatically kills monsters on screen without any control. It repeats forever until player closes the game. It’s a satire of automatic battle designs in today’s mobile games.
After the game jam, I put this project on Steam Greenlight. It passed player’s selection stage(also known as “greenlit”) and can be released at any time.
